Nikola Tesla, one of the most famous inventors in the World was born in Croatia, in the Smiljan Village on 10 July 1856. He is best known for his contributions to the design of the modern Alternating current and Electricity supply systems.

According to Alfred Hitchcock, the seaside city of Zadar in Dalmatia holds the title of the best sunset in the world.

6. Three different climates on such a small territory

Croatia enjoys three different climates: The coast has a pleasant Mediterranean climate with a high number of days of sunshine per year. Summers are hot and dry and winters are mild and wet. Temperatures drop slightly as you move into inner part , where the climate becomes more continental. Once you climb above 1,000 meters, you’ll be surprised with freshmountain air and temperatures around below 10 ºC in the summer months.

Wine is made in Croatia thanks to the Greeks’ influence from two and a half thousand years ago making it a great destination for gurmans and wine lovers.

The Rimac Concept One was claimed to be the world’s fastest accelerating electric vehicle in 2013. Nowadays, exists the new version of it called Concept Two.
